“Stefano Capitanio " Memorial Prize
The initiative will be held in Monopoli (Bari) May 29, 2010
at Hotel 'Il Melograno' - MONOPOLI (BARI)
The overall organization, guided by Vivai CAPITANIO STEFANO in collaboration with the University of Bari, consists in:
• a conference, wich theme is: "The Biodiversity and its relationship with the nursery field";
•the award of the Prize "Stefano Capitanio";
• the technical and guided tour to the Botanical Garden "Lama degli Ulivi";
The convention will involve important horticultural and professional growers as well as technical and scientific landscape designers. The aim is o remember Stefano Capitanio’s life and work spent for the Mediterranean nursery.
The Memorial Prize "Stefano Capitanio” provides for a grant of a scholarship of Euro 3.000,00 (three thousand) for the best thesis degree. The competition is published for young graduates in Agriculture.
The thesis theme must cover botanic, agronomic, economic and legislative aspects connected with the cultivation of mediterranean plants. The thesis, conducted during the academic year 2008-2009, must be sent on CD to Anve Office in Mantua (MN) and mail info@anve.it by April 30, 2010.
