Fascinating small perennial and evergreen grass, with a bushy habit and rapid growth, native to Europe: at full development it grows 30 cm tall and a little larger. Rounded and hemispherical in shape, it is formed by a tuft of long, thin leaves, rigid and erect, slightly pointed and with an attractive grey-silver tone. In summer, thin stems are raised on the tuft bearing minute spikes at the apex, it has a little ornamental value and it is composed of small greenish flowers.
