Original variety of Leucophyllum frutescens, perennial and semi-deciduous shrub, with a globular and compact habit, fast growth and North American origins: when fully developed it can exceed 2 m in height and equally in width. It is lignified and branched from the base: the numerous stems, thin and erect, alternately bear small ovate leaves of medium green color. Between summer and early autumn, in a discontinuous way and in waves, usually caused by a sudden change in atmospheric pressure, which is why this plant deserves the popular name of "barometer plant", you can see very generous blooms that cover the plant completely and quickly: the small, tubular and deep pink flowers are pleasantly scented, appear at the axil of the leaves in the apical parts of the branches and recall clouds of useful insects.
