Delicious, vigorous ground covering, perennial and evergreen, fast growing, with a prostrate and very dense posture, native to Australia: when fully developed it rises from the ground up to 15 cm, while it can extend in width for several meters. Lignified and strongly branched, it has thin horizontal stems, oriented in every direction and which tend to root easily where they come into contact with the ground: these are abundantly covered with small, slightly fleshy leaves, alternately arranged, oblong with obtuse apex and smooth or finely serrated edge, dark green in color. Between late spring and early summer it is copiously covered in the terminal parts of the branches with inflorescences formed by minute corolla flowers with 5 lobes, of a white color often mottled with purple: they follow in autumn and persist throughout the winter juicy yellowish round fruits.
