Beautiful perennial, deciduous shrub with a typical bushy and expansive habit. Native to South America, it can develop up to about 2-meter height and width and more over time. Rounded in shape, it has woody and erect branches at the bottom and semi-woody branched stems arched at the top. The leaves are alternate, small and lanceolate, bright green in color and with a slightly wavy margin. From April to late autumn it produces numerous bluish-violet flowers with a yellow center: gathered in small bunches that completely cover the plant, these abundant and long-lasting flowers are delicately scented, especially in the evening hours of the hottest days.
