Interesting shrubby plant, evergreen perennial, with a typical bushy and roundish habit. Originally from the Mediterranean basin, it can reach in a short time (thanks to a high growth rate) about 2-meter height maximum of and an even greater width. The stems, hairy and greyish, quadrangular and herbaceous when young and rounded and woody when older, are very branched and give the plant an intricate and compact appearance. The leaves, opposite and coriaceous, ovate and lanceolate, have a whitish underside due to the presence of a fine tomentum and the upper one is dark green. In spring in a more massive way, and then in autumn in a less conspicuous way, you can observe the flowering of this plant: the flowers, between pale blue and lilac, with darker veins, come off in pairs from the higher knots of the tips of the branches.
