Attractive grass, perennial and semi-deciduous, of rapid growth, bushy, thick and rounded habit of Asian origins: when fully developed it can exceed 80 cm in height and slightly less in width. Equipped with powerful and deep fasciculated roots that allow it to be perfectly anchored to the ground, it looks like a dense globular head formed by thin and very narrow leaves with smooth edges and acute apex, light green in color: these are initially erect, but curved upwards slightly outwards giving the plant an airy and fluffy appearance. Between late summer and autumn numerous narrow feathery inflorescences formed by tiny pinkish white flowers rise, swaying under the blows of the wind and supported by slender greenish stems.
