Vigorous evergreen shrub up to 3 meters tall, its stems and the bottom page are covered by a thin tomentose layer and by silvery bronzy splinters. Its leaves are elliptical and leathery, deep green on the top. Groups of white and fragrant flowers appear from the axil of leaves in autumn, followed by small red-brown fruits. It's a rustic plant which is well suitable to different climatic conditions and is very appreciated in the realization of thick hedgerows.
