Widespread and simple herbaceous plant, perennial and evergreen, with rapid development and a thick and ground cover, native to southern Africa. The leaves, lanceolate with smooth margins and acute apex, slightly leathery and alternate, tomentose and therefore of a beautiful silvery gray color, constitute a dense head and cover the short stoloniferous stems that branch off from it: the latter, orienting in every direction, they cover the ground in a dense way, creating sturdy carpets on which, starting from spring and until the following autumn and rising slightly on thin stems, showy white or pink, yellow or orange daisy-like corollas show up sometimes with the base of the petals stained black.
