Generous variety of Hypericum patulum, a small semi-deciduous shrub, with a thick and tidy bearing, son of Hypericum patulum from which it has inherited, improving, many characteristics. It belongs to the Hypericaceae family and it can grow more than 1 m tall when fully developed and pretty much the same large. Branched from the base, it has numerous stems oriented in any direction capable of giving the bush a dense, regular and spherical appearance. The leaves persist in the southern regions and are partially to totally deciduous in the colder areas. They are small, lanceolate and dark green. From early summer to late autumn, the large, showy, apical flowers stand out on the leaves. The flowers are yellow and about 5 cm in diameter, with only five petals arranged in a cup and many golden stamens in the center to cover a pronounced ovary. After flowering, abundant decorative conical fruits grow, so highly decorative that florists use them for floral compositions.
