Small thick and compact evergreen cushion-bush with a quick growth and which can easily reach a maximum height of 50 cm. It is native to South/western Mediterranean and Canary Islands. Strongly branched from the base, it has stems which are woody at the bottom and herbaceous on the top: the second ones are covered with persistent, opposite and engraved leaves, which are particularly aromatic and of a green-grey color, very similar to fern leaves. From late spring to late autumn, the plant fills of a rich, showy and lasting blooming made of thin stems having numerous ears of fragrant blue flower at the apex.
