Graceful and rustic succulent, perennial and evergreen, fast growing with a ground cover habit, native to Mexico: at the maximum of its development it can raise 25 cm tall, but it grows much larger. Well branched from the base, it has numerous fleshy and green stems, variously oriented and with an initial erect trend: branching and elongating however, they tend to bend towards the ground and cover it running horizontally. Its lanceolate leaves are alternately applied on the branches, with acute apex and smooth, glabrous, slightly keeled and juicy margins, bright soft green often tinged with red: this nuance can become more evident and extensive especially in conditions of dry soil or of intense cold. In spring, in the apical part of some stems, large hemispherical inflorescences grow. These are made up of small white flowers with 5 petals arranged in a star and with a tuft of showy central stamens.
