Simple and graceful succulent, perennial and evergreen, with rapid growth, with a thick and regular ground cover habit, native to Mexico: at the maximum of its development it does not exceed 25 cm height while its width can be greater. It has thin fleshy stems and silvery bark that tend to branch repeatedly: these branches develop only initially in an erect way and, bending immediately under the weight of the foliage, take on the typical bearing of any ground cover. The leaves, concentrated at the apex of the individual stems and organized in delightful flattened rosettes that often make it confused with an Echeveria, are sessile, fleshy, glabrous, spatulate with whole margins and acute apex, generally grey-green in color, but can develop a decorative reddish border due to the action of both winter cold and summer droughts. Its generous and spectacular flowering can be observed throughout spring: copious inflorescences develop from each apical rosette, they are composed of tiny 5-petalled flowers, starry and rich in stamens, bright yellow and persistent for a long time on the plant, irresistible attraction for bees and insects in general.
