YUCCA gloriosa

Shrub-like plant that can easily grow more than 2-meter tall, formed by a simple or branched stem that lignifies in the lower part. The leaves, with a leathery texture, are ribbon-like, greyish color, a sharp edge and a terminal thorn. The flowers, which are white with pink shades, appear numerous on large central inflorescences in the months between spring and autumn. Excellent for coastal and medium-hill gardens.

It can be used with an important decorative effect both in pots and in the ground, taking care to place it in a very sunny or at most semi-shaded position, in a sufficiently fertile and well-drained soil. During the warmer months, regular irrigation can bring an important advantage to the growth of the plant, it is advisable to repot the plants kept in pots regularly due to their greatly developed root system.
